Niccum appeared in 14 games in 2007, including four starts. She recorded her first two goals as a Tiger and fired 10 shots on the season. Ashley's first goal of the season came on Aug. 31, when she completed a penalty corner play to seal the victory for the Tigers. Her second goal hit the net in the Tigers' 6-1 win over Davidson on Oct. 5.<b>2006 (Sophomore):</b><br>Niccum played in six games in her sophomore season. She took one shot and collected her first collegiate assist in Pacific's 5-1 win over Davidson on Oct. 10.<b>2005 (Freshman):</b><br>Ashley appeared in seven games as a freshman. In her first season,Niccum added depth for the Tigers, while gaining valuable experience at the collegiate level. She attempted one shot on goal during her first career game as a Tiger in a 3-2 overtime loss to Delaware on Oct. 27.<b>High School:</b><br>Niccum attended Royal High School in Simi Valley, Calif., but competed in field hockey for the Camarillo Cougars club team. Niccum was selected the 2005 F.H.F. Female Athlete of the Year, and was co-captain of the Cougars. She won championships at the 2004 National Hockey Festival, Allied Hockey Day, F.H.F. Fall Super-Sixes, the Mid-Summer Madness and the Edison 7v7 tournament. Additionally, Niccum placed second in the F.H.F. 2004 Spring League, Cal Cup XXXIII and the Pacific 7v7 tournament. She also participated in the Futures program and coached an under-12 team.<b>Personal:</b><br>Ashley Nichole Niccum is the daughter of Mark and Patricia Niccum. She has two sisters, Christina (20) and Jessica (11). Christina joins Ashley as a Tiger for the 2008 season. In her fourth year at Pacific, Ashley is an elementary education major.<b>MacDonald on Ashley Niccum:</b><br>"Ashley has had some back luck with injuries, but when she is healthy she has good vision and accurate passing skills. She can also be anoffensive threat on the corners."
